Mrs. Mendelowitz is an accomplished senior healthcare executive (CEO, COO & CNO), consultant and teacher with a deep understanding of and expertise in acute care, long term care, behavioral health, addiction medicine and public/population health. She holds a Masters in Public Administration from Rutgers University as well as a B.S.N. from the Rutgers University College of Nursing. She is a Registered Professional Nurse with licenses in New Jersey and Florida.
Her career includes over 40 years of experience in the non-profit, governmental and for-profitsectors. Most recently her professional experience includes roles as both the President/Administrator and Chief Operating Officer of Bergen Regional Medical Center, a publicly owned, privately operated facility that is the fourth largest public safety net hospital in the nation. She was also the Deputy Director of the Bergen County Department of Health Services overseeing the public health programs for 900,000 county residents.
Currently she works as a Healthcare Consultant for Clinical Services Management, P.C. as well as being a Principal in her own consulting group. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Fairleigh Dickinson University, teaching courses in Healthcare Management and Business Ethics.
She has a demonstrated track record in quality and performance improvement, high reliability organizations and regulatory compliance, human resource development, strategic planning, and sound fiscal management.
She has held board positions for numerous community based organizations and has worked
effectively with governmental agencies.
